A very strange problem when I attempt to open files...

Hi there -- I'll get straight to the point: Whenever I attempt to open a
file (for the sake of example, lets say I want to open a picture in Adobe
Photoshop) before the file opens, the "Move File..." box pops up asking me
where I want to move the file... When I cancel that, the "Copy File..." box
appears asking me where I would like to copy the file. When I cancel out of
that, *then* the program opens and the file loads. This happens either when
I simply double click a file, select a number of files and open them
simultaneously, or when I choose to open it/them manually.

I have no idea what to do, but its so annoying to go through tons of pop-up
windows asking me to do something I did not request to do before I can get
to working on something in flash, or listening to music, or anything else.--
if anyone can help me out on this, I'd be in their debt.

Can you do a system restore to before the problem appeared?

Have you check for viruses/spyware with latest updates

Already did a system restore to way before the problem started, ran spyware
checks and virus checks with no result...

Did you get a reply on this that fixed it? It is very annoying and I can't find any info on how to make it stop doing it.
