I keep getting a window saying that there is a Trojan Horse
in my System Volume Information directory (Windows XP).
McAfee does not list this directory, and the AVG
Antivirus program will not find it.
How do I get rid of it?

Thanks!

I had this problem. AVG has an address with FAQ listed. My
problem and yours is on that list. The solution is to enter Control Panel, Go
to "System", Click on "System Restore", Check the little box "Turn off
System Restore" exit Control Panel and reboot the computer. Go back to the
little box again and click it to restore "System Restore" by unchecking the
box. The trojan will be gone. Apparently System Restore, in the Registry,
acts as a trojan capture at the Restore Points and hides it from The Anti
Virus applications when they scan the Registry. Turning off the " System
Restore" flushes out what's in the "Restore Points"
