Hi All,

We have a website build in ASP.NET 2.0 and we are receiving the following
error:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A transport-level error has occurred
when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 -
An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)

At first we received this error at the localhost only, unfortunatelly it is
popping up in the logs of the live server as well now.

When we were searching for a sollution or a better explanation of what is
happening here, we found loads of people with the same problem. Nobody seems
to have an answer though.

If you had this problem and found a sollution or if you know more about this
error, please let us know!

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Robin

I've seen this too and in some cases it was traced back to hardware issues
with the NIC, the switch, the cables or the volume of data being sent over
the wire.
