A strange problem

Hello there,

I have noticed a very irritating problem in my laptop
(windows xp home edition). The problem is that when i
want to minimize any opened programs they basically
disappered and not shown in the taskbar. However, they
are still in the memory running. I tried to change the
setting of the taskbar to show the running programs, but
unfortunately i couldn't. I am now using (Alt + Tab)
instead to show these programs. Therfore if you have a
solution to this problem please let me know.
