A strange one on BCM attachments

Does anyone have any information on this one.

I have a client who uses Business Contact Manager. He finds that
certain attachments do not link to the emails in the BCM history. I
haven't been able to identify a pattern other than .RTF (rich text) do
not appear, but there are others. The client is aware of the "delete
email" issue, where there is no longer a link to attachments of emails
that have been deleted. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this.

I'm not sure BCM is doing anything here.

The general behavior with activities in BCM history is that BCM stores
a link to the original Outlook item, if any, and some other data. When
opening an activity in BCM. if the original still exists in Outlook,
BCM will open that. But BCM doesn't change the Outlook item in any way
that I've ever noticed.

If BCM is opening the original email in Outlook, and some have their
attachment and others have had the attachement deleted, I would suspect
that Outlook deleted the attachement for whatever reason of its own.

I'll have to play with it for a bit longer to see if I can work out the
problem so I can work out the solution.
