Somehow I have been infected by a program that has changed my default home
page to the following: res://mshp.dll/index.html#23648.

It has also linked itself to the word "flowers" on every website I visit.
No matter what I do (two different spyware programs, plus two different
virus checkers) I cannot shake this annoying piece of trash.

I would delete my IE6 and reinstall it but I fear this thing is deep in my
registry, plus I would loose all the newsgroup messages I've saved in the
past year or so.

I need help. I'm at my wits end.

If I knew the physical location and the identity of the person who did
this, that person would learn very quickly never to do this again. They are
human garbage.

There you have three choice. Ad-Aware is the free one, the other two you pay
for. I had the same problem recently and there was a virus embedded in one
of the spyware files that NAV didn't pick up... bastards are the makers of
spyware. They all ought to be prosecuted, persecuted, and executed.

Todd
