Another solution which will hopefully help someone else, as I searched
for this error and the only answers I could find were that it *must*
be an anti-virus software problem, or to change a million settings...
the solution to my own problem was a whole lot simpler....
When receiving mail (although it worked fine hours earlier with no
settings changes in-between), it would show how many messages were on
the server, start downloading the first, then give up with this
error :
An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.mydomain.com', Server:
'mail.mydomain.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800C013A
All I did was to select all messages in the inbox, drag them into
another folder so that the inbox was empty, and everything worked fine
again. Seems something got corrupted along the way, and "blocked" the
inbox from receiving any new mails. Can't give a technical explanation
but it worked and I'm happy![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/custom/smilies/smile.gif)
