Chelsea lost via dubious claims of the ref not giving 1 of 4 cast iron penalty decisions, Drogba sent shockwaves through young english kids with his foul mouth...lets put it all in perspective...The Uefa cup semi final was decided when a piece of rolled up paper was thrown onto the pitch.....more details follow...
 
I've not actually seen the game or any clips of it - so I'm interested to hear about this :D
 
Sorry Ian for the delay, Hamburg won the 1st leg 1-0 and were at home for the second leg. They took an early lead to go 2-0 on aggregate then bremen hit back with 2 goals to even the tie. Then this happened a long punt down the bye line saw the Hamburg right back all alone , he was just about to pass the ball slowly back to his keeper when the ball hit a rolled up piece of paper thrown from the terraces, this caught the defender out and his sliced back pass went out for a corner. From the corner Bremen scored ..unbelievable. hamburg did eventually add a late consolation but by then the damage was done, they were out.
 
Ouch, what a sad way to go out!

It reminds me of the Man City cup game where there were loads of balloons on the pitch and they lost 2-1.
