I made a movie it took me soo long to make, and wen i went to save it it
comes up with this:
"this project containts source files that are missing or that have been
modified after import. Your project cannont be saved as a movie until the
soruce files have been located or deleted from the project"
iv tried looking for these sorce files but i dont know what to do i need
this movie by tomorrow, someone please tell me what to do. Because i havent
deleted or moved any files and if i had, i wouldnt kno which ones they were!

Generally it is the file or files in your "collection"
window or your "storyboard" or "timeline" that has a big red
X over it. If you legitimately didn't move them, then when
you right click on them and click "browse for missing file",
it should be right where you left it and everything will be
okay.

If it's not there, search your computer for it (start,
search, files or folders, type in the file name as MM will
tell you the file name). If it's not on your computer,
maybe someone else deleted it ... or maybe you (or someone
else) renamed the file.

If anyone has another answer to this I'd sure appreciate it. I have no
more scenes or clips with a red X now. But I'm still getting this error. I
did move files but I relocated them. Is this not good enough? Do I have to
try to remember where every file originally was? Do I have to rebuild my
multi-scened movie again and hope for the same results?

Nope, no red x's means MM knows where all your files are.
This message though often pops up when you use incompatible file types, see
this page

Walter and Graham, thanks for your help. I finally figured it out. It was
a one second video clip that I wasn't able to see with a red X until I zoomed
in all the way on the timeline. Everything's good now. Thanks again to both
of you.

Believe me when I tell you that I have had that happen to me
before, too. It didn't occur to me that the red X's would
be too small for you to see in a 'regular' view ... but
when/if this should happen again, you'll know exactly where
to look. So will I. :)
