Don

Is it possable to post a question with a picture of an error message I'm
getting to the newsgroup? I posted it yesterday and it does not show up.
Whats up?

TIA
Donny

A majority of us don't want to see any file attached to a message. If it's
only an error message, then take the time to type it into your question.

It is possible, but not recommended. Many of the frequent responders to
questions in these newsgroups do not have broadband connections, and the
presence of an attachment makes downloading questions unacceptably slow.

Definitely, you will want to quote any error message you receive, but do it
in the text portion of your posting.

Absolutely not. Type the text of the message into your post. Or put the
graphic onto a web page & provide a reference to that page.

Also, please don't multi-post :-) That is where you post the same message
seperately, to different newsgroups. Instead, cross-post. That is where you
send the message once, to several newsgroup simulataneously, by including
all< the newsgroup names on the one post. See your newsreader's Help for
how to do that. See "multi-posting" or "netiquette" on the web for why
multi-posting is baaaaaad, but cross-posting is ok.

TC
