Hi there, thanks in advance for your help.

Here's my situation. I have videoed a friend singing, wtih me playing
piano. I want to make one of the songs start out with him singing,
then fade into some other clips of various things, going back once in
a while to show him singing again. The problem is the audio is a part
of the video, and if I go to another clip, the audio will stop.

What I need to do is extract the audio from the video i have made,
make it the soundtrack audio, then line up the video to be in line
with the video. I'm sure I could do this without much problem.

So my question is what is the easiest way to extract the audio from my
raw clip, so that I can have it in wav or mp3 format? Then I'll
adjust it in soundforge, slap it into the project, and arrange my
clips accordingly.

Any sugggestions?

Thanks again

To extract the audio from your clip: in MM2, simply drag your clip to the
Audio/Music track, instaed of the video track. Then save movie. Il will
create a Audio-only file.

Thank You!
Off to try it now...

Drag a copy of audio onto the sountrack

then you can trim the video (along with the audio) and
the original sound track will remain in sync...
