A protocol error has occured....

I get this error a lot when connecting to my XP Prof
Desktop. I connect over a corporate LAN, both host and
receiver in the same domain...... The error dumps me
out remote desktop connection, and I have to reestablish
the session. It gets quite annoying. Anyone know about
this?
 
What type of activities are you doing on your remote machine when you're
disconnected? Do you have a particular theme running on the remote desktop?
What version of the client are you running?

It'd likely be beneficial to make sure that you've updated the machine from
Window Update.
