Is it possible to create a PowerPoint based interactive CD
magazine for public sale? The CD along with a website
could act as a micro-search engine for topics, ads and
products they relate to. Or is there a better product to
use for such an idea?

Hi,

It can be done, depending on what type of content you want on the CD and the
types of files you want to include. You may need a viewer as well. In that
case, you will need to be aware of what types of files and structures are
not supported in the new viewer versus the older viewer.

I know Sonia has done this so she may have better comments in that regard.

For the described project I would recommend searching for a software
application designed for the situation. The effort to make this kind of
thing work on a standalone CD running in the PowerPoint Viewer would be a
tremendous amount of work resulting in disappointing and inflexible results.
This sounds more like a mini database/html (possibly) type project. Maybe
Brian has some ideas. <G>
