I recently installed Norton Personal Firewall, Windows
2000 Service Pack 4 and Windows2000-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe
in response to Blaster worm. Now I can't access A:\
drive. Error message says: Folder A:\ not accessable, see
Administrator ..." Since this is a home computer and I
sign on as Admin I should be able to fix. All the Windows
Help indexes yield no solution. One menu says to right
click on Folder, select Properties, Select Security Tab to
make change in authorization. But A:\ does nothave a
Security Tab.

Any ideas for a fix? Do you think the Firewall is the
problem?

Thanks.

I don't think you lost the floppy drive because of the patch. Most likely
it's just died of natural causes (aging for example). Or maybe simply the
diskette you're putting in it is corrupt.

Thanks for the reply. It's not the diskette since I have
tried several that worked OK before. I will try a new
drive.
