A New Problem I am Having with Build 5308 CTP: No Programs will install on
it (Except MBC)!

Disable UAP:

and also ensure that the applications are running in XP SP2 compatibility
mode if necessary.

This issue only existed in my two most recent Build 5308 CTP installs, so
therefore I have filed a Bug Report on it.

P.S. I also filed a New Bug Report about the fact that the Windows Vista
Build 5308 CTP Windows Update Program is not working again!

This information is really off the ball, I use standard Admin account Vista
and I have never had to disable UAP to send in a report or set anything to
XP Compatibility mode. It possible that MBC is just experiencing technical
difficulties at the moment or he needs to simply update the client or
reinstall it.

Andre, I said that no programs will install on Windows Vista Build 5308 CTP
(except MBC which installs just fine on Build 5308 CTP, otherwise I would
not have been able to file 2 Bug Reports in a Row 1 Hour Ago).

Now it (Build 5308 CTP Windows Update) is working, however it is stuck at 0%
complete.

Actually anyone can file a bug Andre, and they're just as important as any
other bug they receive.

I just filed a third Bug Report about the fact that my PS/2 Keyboard does
not resume correctly from standby anymore!

And you're the one with the job with Microsoft right?

Actually guys, the problem I see most people having on install are:
Not updating their Chipset inf files
Not updating Bios prior to installation of the operating system
not installing old software's .exe, or installation file in the Windows Xp
SP2 mode prior to installing the software.

if they do those 3 things after activation on the first boot, they shouldn't
have many issues. I realize however, folk with Nvidia , and Via drivers have
a tough time finding the correct inf's and drivers. Especially on pre built
machines. But those that built their own, shouldn't have to many obstacles.
