a network cable is unplugged

this message keeps poping up "a network cable is
unplugged" but its not. Its a annoying error i am using
a cable modem and have loaded the new drivers for the
linksys NIC card and still no answer any ideas ?
 
Do you have multiple network connections... on my laptop I have a wired
connection and wireless... when I reboot it tells me the wired one is not
connected.

Other than that I don't know what else to say that can help.

Try the steps in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article, even though
you use a different network card:
