Have you looked at the motherboard??
usually there is a name, model number silkscreened on the board.
with that info you can find the manutacturer and most likely buy a backplate

Why don't you contact the motherboard mfg and ask them to send you one
for that model??

I`ve done that guys and actually got an answer. But to no avail they don`t
have any any more as its an old socket 478 board.

A `DFI Infiniti 875`

Most manu`s don`t even answer!

Try calling these guys:

They get all the old computers from the area. I know they have some
pretty old stuff in there sometimes.

I once needed one for a Gigabyte mobo. Made a cardboard template,
transfered it to some sheet metal, drilled and filed, with a Dremeled
tool untill I had a nice fitting backplate. Total time was about 40
mins. Try it. Be sure to wear safety glasses`when drilling and
grinding with the Dremel tool.
good luck

Dense cardboard wrapped in aluminum foil and covered in wide clear tape will
work as well once you cut the proper holes with a sharp knife..
