When I get a program there is often a lot of junk added by the "Chest
Beaters" that want to place their mark on the world. It is a PITA
to try to remove it manually from more then a few files. I think that
a macro for a word processor would help but I would still have to open
each individual file and then run said macro.

Is anyone familiar with this problem?
Or can anyone suggest a program or other solution?
Many Nfos have useless info in them but some have some much needed
info and I"d hate to delete them,
It reminds me of the BBS days and every board that a file passed
through would add its own .Diz file to the program so you'd end up
with 10 or more "Kilroy_-_BBS_-_RULZS!!!.Diz" respective of the 8.3
character limitations of course.

Well, can anyone help me or redirect me?

For the amount of time I refer to the nfo's, I don't see the point of trying
to edit them. I just rename them to something more meaningful and same them
with their respective program.
