A little more trouble on the setup front

Ok, I put the cd in, restart the computer, and nothing. I know it's supposed to have some sort of autoboot feature, but i'm getting nothing but frustration. I need to format my hard drive and install XP over Win98. Please help me. Thank you!
 
Hi,

Enter the system BIOS, set the CD drive as the first boot device. Exit
saving changes and try again.
