Today I found N-VU (A WYSIWYG web editor with built in HTML editor,
site manager, spell check e.t.c.) I havn't heard it mentioned before so
I hope it isn't old news...

Anyway, I've had a quick look at it and the features seem good,
although I havn't started a site from scratch with it...

As far as I can tell it's freeware, although it's sponsered by Linspire
(Lindows) so I don't know if it'll be payware in the future?

It look good for my purposes (dont want to pay for dreamweaver, and
dont need most of the features), does anyone have any experience of it?

It's old news :-)

As far as I'm concerned, it's the best WYSIWYG HTML tool you can get
nowadays. A *very* important feature is that it is committed to
producing standards-compliant HTML code, unlike other WYSIWYG tools
like the horrible Frontpage, for example.
As far as I can tell it's freeware, although it's sponsered by
Linspire (Lindows) so I don't know if it'll be payware in the

It's based on Mozilla's codebase (Firefox 1.0 code, actually) and
strongly linked to the Mozilla project, and it will be an open
source application forever. Neat, huh?

Wald

What is Pricelessware?

The Pricelessware List reflects the programs favored by participants in the
alt.comp.freeware newsgroup; it is not an exhaustive list of the best
available Freeware. Most of the listings are well-known programs, but there
are some hard-to-find goodies to be discovered. Although most categories
will list only 1 or 2 selections, a few will list 3-4 programs.

It's Mozilla Composer with a few mods by Linspire. It works fine, but I
still use Composer.
