A good replacement for Task Scheduler on Windows 2000?

Anyone know of such a thing?

I need to run programs, scripts, batch-files with "runas"-features, ie
running the tasks as a specific domain or local user.

Thanks.

I use (and suggest) an open-source software called "Cron for windows"
(originally coded by Andy Bruce).
I fixed a bug in this software. And now it works nice.

All explanations are in file "cron.txt".

Note: I get the file on the following page, but this version is buggy:

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to replace TS; it seems to work
quite well?

Normally it does, but on one important server the task scheduler fails to
run tasks and claims users don't have the user rights they need.

As this is a server that will be shut down after a few months, and the
system running on it is vulnerable to changes, I need to keep the tasks
running without making major changes to the system.

I have tried to find a solution to its problem with Task Scheduler, but no
luck so far.

I see and thanks for the explanation.

....Except when it stops working, which we've had it do for no apparent
reason. MS tech net doesn't show much by way of repair procedures.

I'll second that hump.
Speaking of which, ever experience a camel?
When you're short like me, though, you gotta be careful.
They tend to overreach and miss the leg.
;-P
