Googling this, I got the below, but I want something more universal and without the need for registration. Any ideas?

Sharing Files and Folders

How do I share my files with other users? Can I share my files with unregistered users?

Your files can be shared only with verified 4shared users. They will be able to download your files, as soon as they log in their accounts. After you upload your files on 4shared you’ll be able to share your files with others by using an access link. You can email the link, place it on your web page, or publish it on blogs.

Also, if you don’t want your file to be seen by everyone, you can share your link confidentially, with only the people you choose. Since the link isgenerated securely, it is impossible to access the file.

You could try Skydrive.

Don't know the details, how you get one etc. The .NET guy
uses Skydrive to distribute his .NET programs, and based on
that, I'm assuming others could do it too.

It's a Microsoft offering. I don't recall what you do to get one,
either. You get a certain amount of space for free, I believe you can
buy more. IIRC what you get free these days is 5gb, many of us are
grandfathered with more than that.

I will check this out, assuming the below sites don't work. The below sites (from another thread) require you to upload your source code. I don't have a problem with that, as my program is freeware, but uploading the sourceis sometimes a problem from inside Visual Studio using the "Publish" feature (it's tricky, at least for me, until you get it just right and save yoursettings as a Profile for future reference). So assuming I cannot get oneof the below sites to work, I'll check out Skydrive.

201x way: upload source code under open source license plus binary
to CodePlex, Google Code or SourceForge.

199x way: upload binary to Tucows or similar.
