A generic or policy question

At risk of being flamed as being stupid or recommended
to some other line of work, as has happened, I will ask
a generic question.

I observe something which seems to be a
software malfunction....in Microsoft-generated and sold
software. I ask the question, in a newsgroup such as
this. The query is ignored. After a while, it is repeated,
and this time some snippy posting is seen, in no way useful.

Now my question: The lack of a useful response has been
said to mean that there is no solution. But shouldn't one
of the MVPs answer anyway, saying "Yes, you are right, it does
malfunction as you describe"?

Hi William,

What was the original question? In response to the question in this post:
The MVP's are not paid to answer anything in the newsgroups. They come here
to help others on their own and are under no obligation to do so. I, for one
of many, appreciate what they do.

LOL, JAX

I realize that there is no specific obligation, but since
they (you) come here to help others, I thought it to be the
opposite of helpful, not to respond even with "That's the
way it works, it is not a malfunction", or something of the sort.

The original question was posted in the microsoft.public.plus
newsgroup, and went something like this: My Screen Saver is a
folder of slides to be shown as a slide show. I bought Plus! in
order to have the privilege or presenting the show in sequence,
and not in random order. When shown in ordinary non-Plus!
screen saver mode, the landscape-oriented slides fill the screen.
When Plus! presents the identical folder's slides in Screen
Saver mode, they only occupy perhaps one half of the monitor
screen area. Is there a way I can change this in XP Plus! ???
When I first posted it, I got no answers. When I reposted it after
a few days, I got a 'response' implying that I should take up
some other hobby. Thanks, JAX

William, I'm afraid I have no answer for you. I have no experience with Plus
but, now that you have re-posted your question, perhaps someone will respond
with a usable answer.

William, no one I know personally nor myself use XP Plus! so have no
practical experience to draw from to try and help. I checked the MS
Knowledge Base when I read your question but didn't see anything helpful
there.
