Greetings...

I remember these used to be very common back in the Dial up days, But I'm having a
difficult time finding one now! Anyone know of a simple utility that runs after startup
that simply checks and posts the IP address of the machine to a Web page via FTP?

I occasionally run an FTP server for friends and even though I'm on cable - My IP
address occasionally changes (about once a month) A small utility that would simply check
the IP address, and post a known named HTML page with that address as text to my ISP's
web space would be useful.

Try the free No-IP service:

http://www.no-ip.com/

You get a free address like http://kanda.no-ip.com and a small client
program that runs on your system tray. As long as the program is there, the
address will point to your PC even if your IP changes.
