I'll bet the free 'fake format' SS is a real knee-slapper. NOT

I do not know what this screen saver stuff is about. I do like the "free"
restricted features compared to the full version at cost of $40 for WinMe
or WinXP.

I will stick with Gyula's Navigator which is totally free for the full
version.

It sure is. I am a very happy user.

I tried it, but it only had one back arrow for navigation. Has that
changed? I use file managers with two panes open, each separate from the
other, so they need their own navigation controls.

It has one navigation arrow. However, that one arrow works for both
panes. I just tested it.

Only needs one -- it manipulates the pane that's active, whichever that
one is.

And if you didn't notice it, if you click the title bar of either pane
(each pane has one), you're taken upward one directory in that pane.

Well bust my breeches. I wondered how the heck to go up one directory level
with the mouse. Except it requires a double-click, single-click won't do
it. Makes sense. I really need to read the 2x help file. But soon we'll
be using xplorer2 anyway.

Also good to remember keyboard: alt-left is the same as the back button,
alt-right is the same as the forward button.

Very simply. :)

The horror. The horror.

In general, help files, actually exploring those menus every program has up
there at the top, and just clicking around, here and there, is a Good
Thing.
Also good to remember keyboard: alt-left is the same as the back button,
alt-right is the same as the forward button.

Normal ones have nictating membranes, instead. Thus, the first paragraph
here:

The main thing it seems to miss is a shortcut toolbar. Or am I just
missing it? In Power Pro, you get shortcuts by dragging folders and files
onto the toolbar. That gives you a nice row of icons for your favorite
files and folders.

I prefer using the keyboard. That is possible with 2explorer.
