A forgotten password

When Windows 2000 starts it gets to the window where it asks for a user name
and password. Well, my daughter gave it a password and now cannot remember
it. At the time she was the only user. Now that I want to use the computer
I can't get past there.

What if anything can be done to either bypass this or retieve the password?

I hope you can help. I don't know where else to turn.

It will take some time to figure it out the first time you do one of
these but it does work.

After you have resolved this little problem with the tool that
Bob gave you, start planning ahead. How many sets of keys
do you have for your car? More than one? Why? How many
administrator accounts do you have for your PC? Just one? Why?
