a FIX for IE crash on find, new page never loading, windows update never downloading

I was having trouble wih IE5.5 and IE 6 (with or without service
packs) crashing with an error 34 when trying to find in page and also
when opening a new window the document would never load unless I
stopped it and refreshed.

Downloaded mcrepair.exe

and told it to overwrite newer files and it fixed it.

Now it states it is only for Windows 2000 and NT but I ran in on
Windows 98se.
