Just noticed that a USB plug is the same width as an RJ-45 socket.
That is pretty stupid.

Also wonder how many, if any, GUI OS's can be shut down without seeing
the screen?

I can shut down Windows XP by saying "shut down Windows
immediately".

But (if open) Komodo Edit messes up on restart. Sometimes Windows
Explorer messes up on restart. Another impediment to shutting down
is if Notepad is open and unsaved, you are prompted to save. Any
other program would have figured out a check box (and option) to
specify whether you want to save the document or to ask when
closing. And if the Notepad save prompt is showing, the Windows
shutdown error dialog comes up over the save prompt and you can no
longer see the save dialog (without switching windows).
