Something is putting the a drive in my PATH statement.
Because of this, I have to have a floppy in the drive all
the time. Win 2k's winlogin.exe program won't go forward
w/o it, and all my applications check the drive before
doing anything.
I tried the solution in the Knowledge Base; didn't work
(could be because, even though I specified Win 2K, the
article is for Win NT and the registry entry wasn't there).
I tried a friend's solution (PC Help Desk person) which
was to save a junk file to a floppy, then the hard drive.
Didn't work.
I've set the PATH without a drive, but next time I go to
the command prompt, it's back.
Can you help me solve this?
