A different activation issue

Hi,

I installed Vista about two weeks ago, but didn't activate it yet (normally
it was 60 days in other MS releases). When I booted today, no matter what
option I pick to activate, I get "Authentication failed with the following
error: 0x800705B4". I do have a valid MSDN product key, but it won't let me
enter that either (as one of the options) -- won't let me activate it online
(event though I'm internet connected) -- every option shows the same above
error. It's installed in it's own partition. Any ideas or am I screwed and
have to re-install the OS, the drivers, the software, etc., etc....

I have not had this experience, but several posters have had success by
telephoning MSFT. Search the newsgroup, as I recall at least one thread
contains the telephone number.
 
Hi Jane -- I think you may have pointed me to the correct link (i.e., the
second one)... Thanks much and I'll follow up what makes it work.
