A couple of fonts printing lightly

Since I moved over to Windows word processors (I was with
WP 6.1 DOS, and now I have both WP 9.0 and Word 2002), I
am having a problem with Courier and Times New Roman
printing very lightly--Courier is just ridiculously light
and not usable. I'd just avoid these fonts altogether if
I could, but I work with so many different customers I
have to have them available. I've tried two different
versions of each font (TT and printer, I believe), with no
success. (I have an HP 4, by the way.) Assuming there's
not much I can do with the fonts that are currently
available to me on my system already, does anyone know
where I can download/purchase other versions of these
fonts that aren't going to cost me $100 apiece for the set
of 4 fonts?

Do a google search for Dark Courier.
