I have to ask how will XMl play a part in the new .net,
specifically VB.net because that is the class I am in,
environment?

Thanks,

dwayne

In the current .NET or the new .NET ;-). XML is ostensibly the centerpiece
of the .NET initiative. It allows objects to be represeneted in a vendor
agnostic manner and hence, we will be closer to write once run anywhere,
than we ever have been. It is also the backbone of Web Services and allows
us to represent data, even things like wav files, in a serialized format
that can be transported everywhere...even through firewalls.

If you search for XML and .NET, I think you'll find more information than
you could have ever wanted.

Select the "Index" tab in your help documentation for the .NET
Framework, then type "XML" and read the names the subtopics found. This
will give you a good overview on where XML plays an important role.
