Well earlier tonight, I was doing a little gaming as one does. Then my computer decided to freeze mid game and restart by itself.

Upon restart I am greeted by a Nvidia message saying something about my graphics card and that it hasnt got enough power, I go to click on OK and my mouse has frozen.

Im guessing the PSU has blown or something, so I turn the computer off for a good couple of hours, too see if it was heating issues (never occured before) and on my return it is working as usual.

Soooo is this a sign of a PSU on the brink? Or just something that happens every now and then

I look forward to hearing your thoughts! cos I havnt got a clue :P

I think you've analysed the thing pretty well yourself.

Just carry on and see what happens.

If it happens again it wouldn't hurt to buy a new power supply.

Its happened to me a few times.

I found the power joints on the GFX card werent soldered properly so went to work with the iron CAREFULLY!!!

Be warned though, I know what i'm doing!!

Wouldn't worry about it unless it happens repeatedly.

Computers are retarded like that.

I got a bsod a few weeks ago! First time on this computer, nothing wrong with it, checked everything physically in the case and what I could from Windows and there was nothing.

And there hasn't been a hint of a problem before or after.

The chances are that it is the PSU then? So if it happens again I know what to do, and replace the bugger :P
