Specifically, microsoft.public.Windowsxp.general and Windowsxp.newusers.
Nothing downloads for either. Not surprised about latter as it had less
than 100 posts daily, not counting replies, but general group had 1,000+,
not counting replies. Are these gone ? Would like to know so I can
"unsubscribe".

I don't read newusers, so I can't comment on it, but general is
as active as always.

Thanks, Ken. One more hokey going on with this computer. At this rate, no
guarantee I'll see anything. Will try again...

You're welcome. Glad to help. You might try unsubscribing and
resubscribing.

What it took was a shutdown/restart between the two. A re-subscription
alone didn't cure it. Kinda reinforces my old '95 days when a shutdown was
mandatory to clean house :)

Except that I suspect that simply logging out and then in again will
accomplish a lot of things that rebooting in Win95 did.

Glad to hear it got fixed. Did you try shutting down Outlook
Express after unsubscribing, and then restarting it and
resubscribing? I suspect that would have worked, and I'm sorry
that I didn't think of suggesting it.
