An AVI file is actually a container for many different media formats, so you
need to know what format your video file is in. Usually in cases like this,
the file is actually a DiVX encoded file (a variation on the MPEG4 format).
The codec for this can be got from www.divx.com.
Your best option is to search for and download the GSPot Codec Information
Appliance as this app can tell you what codec the file requires for
playback.
