Hi,

My _derived folder does not show up in folder pane of FP XP while other hidden folders are there. Is there a way to get it displayed in the pane?

Jay.

No. The _derived folders are permanently hidden in FrontPage.
It is often considered bad form to multipost to several newsgroups.

Hi, I've been wondering about this, also. If you create new image files
(using some software other than FrontPage to do it), how do you get them
into the _derived folder, which is where the html file referencing it
expects to find it?

Also, how do you access the image files if you want to change them?

Thanks,

J. Wermont

The _derived folder is used for scripts and templates associated with
the FrontPage search component, and for storing images created with
themes and the FP navigation components.
To use your own images or change the existing ones, customise the theme
and/or change Navigation View - then those images will be updated
accordingly.
If you use your own navigation, there is no need to touch the _derived
folder.

You don't
- the _derived folder content is generated by FP from your nav view , nav bars and theme
If you have created new images for your nav buttons or banners you need to modify the Theme to use them
- then FP will create the _derived content
