99% utilization

Anyone experience this?

When running IE 6.0 SP1 + critical fixes / patches to
present, sometimes the browser will stop responding. I
then check task manager and Iexplore.exe is using 99%
processor time. I then have to end-task the process to use
IE again.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions..?
