If I buy a 9800SE and it is not softmodable to a 9800 Pro, is it still
possible to overclock it, or would I be better to buy a 9600XT 265Mb?

Hi,
the 128MB version of the 9600XT is faster than the 256Mb version I believe.
Just used the 128MB 9600XT on a new build and I have to say I'm impressed!
really great value for money. . .

?? Buy a 9800Pro for $200 or 9800plain for $170... both in the same
price range as the 9600xt, especially with the stupid 256mb version.

What are you expecting the extra 128mb to get you?
