need it say more?

The card is really a Sapphire OEM so phuk that basically.
You do realize the Sapphire makes cards for ATI? The Sapphire Radeon 9800
non-pro is justly famous for overclocking to, or beyond, pro speeds --
making it a major bargain.
NoneOfBusiness said:It definitely doesn't look like the picture they show with it. Mine is
the black pcb instead of the pretty red. Anybody flashed the BIOS on
this card since they got it back in stock (98-8004.bin)? Is this the
same card they had before they ran out or what? I am hesistant to
flash mine until i know for sure.
Also how can you tell what brand the memory is on it? Its not exactly
labelled.

There's another thread like it. I repeat. It's NOT the card everyone
thought it was. Sapphire OEM is lower on the food chain than a
regular Sapphire.
hey guys, new to this place... usually post at sharkys... but i
wanted to let you know about the 9800np they got at newegg... i just
got mine today and all i can tell you is that they suck.. i have a
built by ati 9800np already and compared the two... the sapphire card
is always at least 300 points behind in 3dmark 2001 even when i had
the card clocked at 400/360 compared to the built by ati at
400/331... scores were 17700 to 18080... i think the bios on this
card blows... and forget about updating the bios to a 9800 pro, i
tried and at stock 9800 pro speeds with the entech memory i got
artifacting.. odd thing is at400/360 using a softoc'er i got no
artifacts... this card is not worth the 249 in my opinion which is
why i am calling newegg tomorrow and will try to send it back... i
just hope the will work with me....
It's about the memory and the ability to flash the card to a 9800Pro.
Not 3dmarkxx.
You're missing the point of which is no matter. The "card" is not
available and probably never will be again. That makes this pretty
moot.
