9800 vs 9800 Pro

Hi,

Just a quick question. Is it worth it buying the 9800 Pro or is it a
better buy gettign a standard 9800 and OC it? (or maybe a 9600xt)

I'm about to buy one an I just can't decide it.

9800np 's are hard to find and cost about the same when found afaik so go
for the pro. Definately not the 9800se if that's what you mean by 9800.

Hi,
I agree, there is little difference between the 9800 and the 9800Pro. I
noticed the prices on the 9800Pro have dropped quite a bit. I have a 9800
myself, very good!
 
Yes, I've had a 9800np from back when the price diference was $200CDN. I've
run it overclocked to pro speeds and stock and there is a diference when
1280 res and 4xaa8xaf in some games but it isn't huge, I seldom even bother
to oc the card.
But the pro is down to what I paid for the np. And even though I run fine
at pro speed the memory is running far above it's rating...
