Is the card worth the extra $110 bucks at Best Buy?
Would it play Half life 2 better, or would there be no visible difference?

Thanks,
The Rev

It's faster, but not $110 bucks worth.

If you want a card to play HL2 why not wait 'till Q1 next year and get a
next gen card, or at least the prices of current chips will be down a bit.

Can I overclock the GPU to the Pro level and not damage the card?
thx :)

As with all forms of overclocking that's a definite maybe. You're not
likely to do damage by overclocking unless the cooling is very marginal,
but if you have bad luck on the set of components on your particular
board then it may not overclock at all.

No.

Yes it would, but only marginanly. When you pay those 110$ more your paying
to have the fastest graphics card on the market even though it is only
slightly faster then the non pro version. Also there are no aditional
fetaures, it's the same GPU running faster.

I would say defintaly with the core, but the memory is not as likely since
they tend to but 3.0 or 3.3ns on which is good for 333MHz and 300MHz
respectively, instead of 2.86ns which is good for 350MHz. Having said that
many people do manage to overclock the samsung 3.3 to pro speeds,
apparently.

Depends on the card ;)

Probably yes. But there is no need for it. First of all that graphics card
is very, very powerful, and second the PRO version is only marginaly
faster.
