Hi all.
I have a 9800 PRO 128MB that has stopped working. Anybody here know of
problems with the card? It is about 8 months old and just stopped working 1
day i turned on my pc. Can it maybe be fixed since it is a expensive card?
Think it is made by a company called MIC.
TIA

I guess this is an case for the garantuee...

You might get the card out of your system and look if there is obvious
damage...

Also a local PC shop probably can test it for you.. if the card works
there...

If the card works in other systems... then your motherboard is fried..
if the card stays black in all systems... the card is fried.

Garantuee claiming is usefull them, don't know the garantuee rules but
within the year you should get a 9800 pro back with no extra cost....
if it happened after one year..they could claim "you used it for so
long so the value got down so much"

Within one year though... in case of videocards... claim!

Hi Claus,
Pull the card, clean the contacts with denatured alcohol or a good
electronic cleaner and reseat it. That's worked for me on many occasions
with memory, sound, NIC, etc. If that doesn't work follow the other advice.
Good luck -

Will try that.
Thanks
