9800 Pro cold boot problem

Hi....I'm sure you've all know about the cold boot problem with some
configurations; display is corrupted on desktop after a cold boot, but a
reboot restores the graphics and all is fine....
I know about changing the PSU, or try powering the card without sharing the
connector with a CDROM or other device...but has anyone actually done these
things and solve the problem?

Tried and failed, mine still will not boot from cold, I just leave it
running all the time, although I'll put it to sleep overnight.
One of these days I'm going to add an extra power supply for the card, I
have enough power to run the system, it just won't let the card have
enough when it needs to boot.
