98 to XP Upgrade hangs

I am trying to upgrade from 98 to XP. I actuall did this
before and it worked fine. There were three file errors
when loading the CD. The install now hangs
at "Installing Devices", same place every time. Is there
a way to restart the entire process? I did not save the
98 config files thinking al would be fine (again).

Any help is appreciateds!

Go back to the 98 setup, when booted to the 98 desktop, place the XP CD in
the drive, when the setup screen appears, select "Check System
Compatibility."
