9700 Radeon pro Problem

I have 9700pro Radeon 128ddr 256Bit Need extra power cable
nice card.

But, if I try to plugin a harddisk or somting els,
then I have a black screen ,the Videocard will not startup.

means plugin in or out a powerConnecting the Videocard Quit. hm
just the Cooler From the Card Work.

so I put in my computer another Videocard 9200radeon; one that not need
extra power or so, and it work, my Lovely Computer Startup normal.

I have a 400w Power in me computer Strange a Bigger one then Before.
Someone a Idee please ?

Sure sounds like your 400 watt power supply is not putting out enough
power to satisfy the machine's needs. Perhaps is is not working
properly and you need to replace it.The 9700 pro is a power hungry
beast

Do a google search for Motherboard Monitor (freeware) and install it
(if possible) it will tell you how much power your system is putting
out!

I have a 430 watt power supply with my 9700 Pro and don't have any
issues. (I also have the following plugged in - 5 80mm fans, DVD-ROM,
DVD-Writer, LS-120, 3 80GB harddrives, CDRW, 6-media sigma box card
reader, oodles of USB devices, rear exhaust cyclone fan, non-stock CPU
fan, (basically every PSU cable and Mobo fan spot is taken up by
something).

You may have a bad PSU, or maybe one the cables coming from the PSU is
bad. Also, you may want to try unplugging all other devices except
the primary HD and the video card. Unplug PCI cards, drives, modems,
etc... that could be sucking power.

If it works, begin plugging one item at a time back in until it stops
working. Record that item. Then unplug everything again, and plug in
that item first. If it is works, then you are blowing the power usage
and you probably need to get a larger PSU. If it doesn't work, you
found the problem.

Also, when you put in an "old" video card, was it plugged into the AGP
slot or a PCI slot. If it was a PCI slot and the 9700 was the AGP
slot, you may have issues there as well.

The Problem is Fixt,
I have put ion my computer a 450 Power an Superflower
Big thing Great also.

and my videocard is Brokken, I have return to the shop put in a computer
and the same thing I have see,The Card will not Startup.
but , np card is in Garantie' Soon I have another one
