9700 Pro--------> Asus P4C800-E compatibility?

I've got an earlier 9700 Pro (PN 109-94200-11). The manual for the
Asus P4C800-E mobo states that you should only use PN xxx-xxxxx-30
revisions. Has anyone used the earlier versions of the 9700 Pro in
this mobo? Any issues?
 
I had that board, for about 3 days and remember reading that in the manual.
Wasn't that for 9800pro cards, only?

The manual says ATI 9500 and 9700 Pro series.
