Not sure if my previous message posted, so i will try this again.
Forgive me if I double post. I"m thinking of getting the Powercolor
9700 Pro. Do I need to hook it into my powersupply or will it run
just on the juice from the mobo?

my current PS is 350 Watts.

A 9700 pro will need the extra power plugged in or it will boot , it will
come up with a screen telling you to plug it in.

Is it a good quality name brand powersupply (dual fans?). Then you shouldnt
have a problem. Most people fret too much.

I have an AMS eCube running a VisionTek 9500Pro (and it only has it's built
in 220w power supply). Can game for hours with it, no lockups, no problems.
Just finished running the UT2004 demo (looks great!!!)

Maybe it's just me, but ever since video cards starting using an additional
power connection (4 pin molex) I dont believe the AGP draw has been causing
as many problems, as earlier high powered video cards.
