9600XT & catalyst 3.9

Am I the only one having a problem using a Sapphire 9600XT with the 3.9
drivers. I can't get the system to work using these drivers. I must go
back to 3.8.

Shuttle AN35Ultra MB.
 
You get what you pay for....

Sapphire ATI cards seems to be either flaky or or just works out-of-the-box.

If v3.8s working, stick with them until4.0 where they will tweak the 9800XT
fewtures. Keep the faith it's a bleeding edge new of new card....

Stupid and ill-informed comment my 9800 Pro from Sapphire works more than
fine.

Not stupid or ill-informed. Working at computer store 2 out 5 sold were
returned.

None from ATI technologies were returned.

But that may not be entirely the case with Sapphire, just from professional
experience.

Then again had alot of Geforce 2 Ultra returned, but still ppl say was the
best card since crushed ice.

But I guess there always be trolls to tell you otherwise for the sake of it.
 
Try the Omega Corner drivers, maybe they work http://www.omegacorner.com

I've installed the Omega ones on my 9600 XT after the 3.9 didn't want to
work. Then retrying the 3.9 worked....for whatever reason. And I get
blazingly fast speed.
