Funky McCool said:I bought a new system and had the 9600xt put in it... and so far
determined the card was crap for using webcams with. I Bought a new
cam thinking it would solve the problem but it didnt...now i have two
cams! I found some help at a cam site that said the new xt was not
very compatible with cams and that ATI was aware of this.... the only
fix for it is to turn the HARDWARE ACCELERATION way down...this works
and will let me use the cam in some instances but not all....but now i
have to switch back the slder if i want to take full advantge of my
card.
Anyone else had problems with there cars like this and is there a fix
coming out?
Chris...thanks all
Hi Chris,
It would have helped if you'd quoted the model/make of your webcam, but for
what it's worth, I have a Sapphire Radeon 9600XT at home and a Logitech
Webcam 4000, and both work perfectly, no need to turn anything down (that's
not a solution!)
Have you tried all the usual suspects? Ie: update the drivers for your
mobo, 9600xt and webcam?
HTH,
Neil
