What is the difference between the 9600 Pro, Ultra and Ultimate?

The 9600 Ultra is Powercolor's brand name for a 9600 Pro with 337 MHz
memory vs 300 on their standard model and an additional software bundle.
The Ultimate is Sapphire's brand name for a regular 9900 Pro with an
oversized heat sink that can provide adequate cooling without a
dedicated fan, hence quieter operation.

There is the 9600 non-Pro, 9600 Pro, 9600Pro XT, and the 9600 All-in-Wonder.
There is No Ultra or Ultimate made by ATI.

"Ultimate" sounds like a Sapphire product:

(I believe that it's basically a 9600 Pro with a fanless cooler.) I'm
unaware of an Ultra; it sounds more like an nVidia designation.

One review, among many:

I don't recall the core/memory clocks on the various 9600 cards. I
believe that they all use four pipelines. The 9600SE may be seriously
down in performance compared to the other family members, if it's like
other Radeons.

HTH.
